About the Founder

Laurence Baer, Founder of GODTOU, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Laurence
launched GODTOU for two purposes.

1st – To expand the culture of Gratitude through a deeper understanding of God’s
investment into the creation and into each of our lives

2nd – To generate funds for Charitable activities. All profits from GODTOU will be donated
to officially recognized charities.


Laurence has had over 45 years of management experience in both the for profit and not for
profit arenas.
From 1983 – 1992, he helped launch and served as the Executive Assistant to the three
Chairman of the Global Economic Action Institute: Hon. Robert B. Anderson, former Secretary
of the Treasury in the Eisenhower Administration; Sen. Eugene McCarthy, former Presidential
Candidate and Senator from Minnesota; and Sir Robert Muldoon, former Prime Minister of
New Zealand.

With Nobel Prize winning economist Friedrich Hayek in the Austrian mountains.

One of the Institute’s most important achievements was helping Tom Clausen, then President
of the World Bank, to secure the necessary support to launch MIGA, which supports investment
into developing countries around the world.
It also conducted important conferences around the world, including one in Budapest on
transitioning from a centrally planned economy to a free market economy. During that three-
day event, the wall came down in Berlin.
Laurence has also been involved in numerous other projects to make the world a better place.
Laurence is an award-winning songwriter, and has produced three CD projects: Across a Bering
Strait Bridge (2007); Across Time (2015); Across Love (2018). His song, White Pass Railroad was
recorded by the Del McCoury Band and included on their 2009 Grammy Nominated “Family
Circle” CD.

Laurence and Muriel Baer have been happily married for 46 years. They have 5 children and 12grandchildren
